68% of Poles have limited their spending due to high prices - according to the latest Kantar poll for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24. 31% of those asked said they did not cut their expenditure.
Inflation in Poland at the moment stands at 10.1%. The country has moved away from February's inflationary peak of 18.4%, but it still has a long way to go before it reaches the inflationary target of 2.5%.
Majority cut spending
According to estimates, the so-called cumulative inflation in Poland - which includes all increases in prices in recent years - has been higher than 40%.
Lower inflation does not mean the prices are dropping, but that they are growing at a slower pace. As a result, the constant increase in prices has forced many people to change their spending habits.
According to a poll carried out by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24, 68% of Poles have cut their spending due to high prices. 31% of respondents said they did not limit their expenses, while 1% were not sure how to answer the question formulated this way.
