Polish and Dutch fighter jet pilots participated in a joint exercise on Tuesday (March 21) from the northern Polish city of Malbork.
The city's airbase is currently hosting Dutch F-35 jets, which have been stationed in Poland since February.
Polish MiG-29s and Dutch F-35s executed on-air interception manoeuvres over Polish airspace to showcase air deterrence on NATO's eastern flank.
They took off from the same airbase from which Dutch F-35 fighters departed to intercept a formation of three Russian military aircraft near Poland and escorted them out last February.
Dutch Royal Air Force Brigadier General "Shackle" told Reuters that four incidents requiring interception procedures have occurred since they arrived in Marlbork in February.
The city is located less than a hundred miles from Russia's Kaliningrad enclave, from which the Russian military aircraft was intercepted.
Part of Poland's fleet of MiG-29s will be sent to Ukraine, as Warsaw announced last week that it would send four MiG-29 fighter jets in the coming days.
This move makes Poland the first of Kyiv's allies to provide such aircraft, which could create a need to ramp up Poland's air defence equipment.
