Man suspected of stabbing former mayor of Siedlce interrogated and charged

The man suspected of attacking the former mayor of Siedlce has been questioned by investigators. The former mayor Wojciech Kudelski himself also spoke with the prosecutor while in the hospital. Kudelski positively identified the man as the one who on Monday morning stabbed him with a knife. The suspect is a 38-year-old who in the past received psychiatric treatment.

Government still haven't prepared the regulations blocking energy prices spike

The act on electricity prices continues without a regulation. According to the Deputy Minister of Energy Grzegorz Tobiszowski, after discussions in Brussels, consultations with energy companies continue. However, that doesn't make a difference for some city governments. We're paying higher electricity prices, despite promises from the government.

A woman in Kraków jumped out from the 6th floor to escape fire

A tragedy in Kraków. A fire broke out in the flat located on the sixth floor of an apartment building. A young female resident's escape route was cut off. In an attempt to save herself, she decided to jump out of the window from almost 20 metres high. She was resuscitated on sight and then taken to a hospital.

A paedophile priest charged for recording teenagers with hidden camera

There are charges for a priest from Lubelskie Voivodeship who have fixed a small camera to his shoes and took inappropriate pictures of teenagers. The Polish priest was caught two years ago while on vacation in Croatia. It turned out that the paedophile priest had much more of these images on his phone and computer. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.

European Coalition leaders have signed programme declaration before EU elections

On Thursday, the leaders of five parties that form the European Coalition, Grzegorz Schetyna (Civic Platform), Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz (Polish People's Party), Włodzimierz Czarzasty (Democratic Left Alliance), Katarzyna Lubnauer (Modern Party) and Marek Kossakowski (Greens) signed the programme declaration before May's elections to the European Parliament.
