Well-known heart surgeon sentenced for taking bribes from patients

Well-known heart surgeon Mirosław G. is guilty of accepting at least 22,000 zlotys in bribes from patients and their families between March 2005 and December 2006 - the Regional Court for Warsaw said on Wednesday. The doctor was given a one year in prison sentence suspended for two years and 50,000-zloty fine.

Mayor of Gdańsk Dulkiewicz accepts invitation from prime minister Morawiecki

The meeting between Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Mayor of Gdańsk Aleksandra Dulkiewicz will take place on Tuesday (June 11) at 1.30 pm in the PM's chancellery - informed the new spokesperson for the government Piotr Mueller. Court: 25 years in prison for brutal killing of 28-year-old Jacek Hryć

A shocking video has been posted in the internet, showing a van driver deliberately running over a living dog which was laying on the road. The perpetrator has been already detained by the police. The young man was charged with killing a dog with extreme cruelty.

Sławomir Neumann, the head of the Civic Platform-Civic Coalition club, on Friday declared himself a supporter of closer cooperation between PO and Modern Party and of further intergration of the two parties in the future. "Integration allows to create a big project that can win the parliamentary elections in the fall," said the PO politician.
