When Donald Trump will be meeting Andrzej Duda, the First Ladies will visit the Copernicus Science Center and other places of interest. The visit to the ‘Copernicus’ will be short but full of attractions, announced the Center’s spokesperson.
Melania Trump will arrive in Warsaw alongside her husband. However, their agendas for the visit will be slightly different. According to Justyna Sieklucka, a TVN24 reporter, the agenda for the First Lady of the United States is all buttoned up. “First, Melania Trump will meet Poland’s First Lady Agata Duda. The meeting will likely be held in the Presidential Palace or the Belvedere Palace”, she said on TVN24.
A visit to the ‘Copernicus’
Another major location will be the Copernicus Science Center, where the two First Ladies will arrive at around 11 a.m. “Their stay at the ‘Copernicus’ will not be long. Therefore, we tried to gather all the things we would like them to see in one place” said Katarzyna Nowicka, spokesperson for the CSC.
Melania Trump and Agata Duda are to visit the popular Thinkatorium. “This is where you can see what ‘Copernicus’ does every day – it is developing various teaching and learning methods. It is a perfect place where you can see efficient learning strategies based on the use of objects such as cups, straws, pieces of wire, balloons,” said Nowicka to TVN24 reporter.
A meeting with children
She went on to add that the meeting will also be attended by children, who will take part in a programming workshop. “Younger children will do some programming in simpler programs. Older ones will use slightly more advanced technologies. They will present the results of their work to the First Ladies,” said the ‘Copernicus’ spokesperson. “We will also present a selection of designs we create using 3D printers and an example of how fashion and robotics can be combined: a special robotic gown that is able to lift some of its parts on its own,” she added. The Copernicus Science Center will be open to visitors this Thursday. However, some inconveniences are to be expected. The new “On the move” gallery and the Thinkatorium will be closed until noon, as the First Ladies will be taking part in a do-it-yourself workshop there. Nowicka stressed that visitors will not be allowed to greet Melania Trump or ask her for a photo together, though. Immediately after the visit to the Copernicus Science Center, the American First Lady will join her husband for his speech at the Krasiński Square, planned for 1 p.m.
