Since December 2019 voter support for the ruling coalition of Law and Justice, United Poland and Agreement has fallen from 41 percent to 35, according to the latest poll by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24. Support for Civic Coalition has gone up from 27 percent to 30. The remaining parties haven't seen significant changes in voter support.

Nothing will change regarding the rights of Poles in the UK after the Brexit. It's necessary, however, to use the time until the end of the year to gain "settled status" - 400.000 Poles still haven't done so - Poland's Minister for European Affairs Konrad Szymański said on Thursday.

Poland is willing to consider a compromise with the European Union on its selection of judges under certain conditions, its justice minister said on Tuesday after talks with a senior EU official on rule of law concerns ."I declared readiness to convince my colleagues from the ruling camp to consider coming up with a new model for choosing judges," Zbigniew Ziobro told journalists after meeting EU Values and Transparency Commissioner Vera Jourova in Warsaw.

The door to a dialogue between Poland and the European Union on judicial reform is open and the EU hopes to find a long-term solution to tensions between Warsaw and Brussels, EU Values and Transparency Commissioner Vera Jourova said on Tuesday.

"Do not be indifferent in the face of historical lies. Do not be indifferent when you see the past being exploited for the needs of contemporary politics. Do not be indifferent when any minority suffers discrimination. For it's the essence of democracy that the majority wields the power, but at the same time, the rights of the minority must be respected," former prisoner of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and death camp, Marian Turski, said on Monday during the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the camp's liberation. He stressed that indifference may cause "an Auschwitz suddenly fall down on you from the skies". Mr Turski also urged younger generations not to "be indifferent when any government violates the already established social contracts".
