Curators at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum have discovered personal data of a 4-year-old Věra Vohryzková, a Czech Jewish girl who in 1943 was sent to the concentration camp along with her mother and younger brother. The information was found written inside one of the children's shoes, which are part of the museum collection. This is yet another such find. In 2020, Amos Steinberg's shoe and a suitcase that belonged to his father, Ludvik, were identified.

A community officer from Sosnowiec (Silesian Voivodeship) saw smoke coming out one of the apartments in a residential block. What he did find was a dog suffocating with smoke. The brave officer saved the distressed animal and shortly after the firefighters extinguished the flames.

PGNiG has signed Heads of Agreement with Sempra Infrastructure defining the main provisions of a purchase and sale agreement for 3 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per annum, the PGNiG Group informed in a statement on Monday (May 16). A desperate father of a 5-year-old boy ran to police officers who were in the middle of an intervention and asked them for help as his son was suffocating. A woman was driving the wrong way on the A1 highway between Bytom and Zabrze Północ junctions (Silesian Voivodeship). This dangerous incident was caught on dashcam of another car, whose driver then sent the footage to Kontakt24. The police said the detained 64-year-old woman had been driving under influence of alcohol.
