"Legitimising hate speech". Human Rights Commissioner on minister Błaszczak's "sodomites" comment

"Language of ignorance and even vilification, speech that denies equal status to certain groups, cannot be tolerated and requires our reaction," the Commissioner for Human Rights Adam Bodnar commented on Mariusz Błaszczak's "sodomites" remark. Defense minister used this word to decribe participants of Equality March in Poznań. According to Commissioner Bodnar, such remarks are "legitimising hate speech" and should be castigated by public figures.

Electoral Commission: three committees already registered for local elections

The National Electoral Commission (PKW) registered three election committees on Tuesday: Razem Party, Civic Platform and Modern Party's coalition and Polish People's Party, the Chairman of the PKW Wojciech Hermeliński informed on Thursday. He added that the deadline for registering committees for local elections passes on 27 August.
