U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo pledged to keep Europe free despite "Vladimir Putin's war on Ukraine" as he addressed military leaders on Wednesday at the NATO base in Orzysz, Poland. Pompeo said Russia plans to dominate Europe and reassert its influence, making it imperative that the NATO alliance remain "indispensable for the protection of the free peoples of Europe." U.S. President Donald Trump has signaled his low regard for NATO, a 70-year-old military alliance that joins the United States and Canada with allies in Europe. Trump has threatened to withdrawal U.S. interests from the alliance, despite overwhelming support from Congress to remain.

Poland to buy HIMARS rocket launchers for 414 million dollars

On Wednesday Poland will sign a contract with the United States for the HIMARS artillery rocket system. The deal is for 414 million dollars, which is more than 1,5 billion zlotys. HIMARS is a ground-to-ground system capable of hitting targets at a range of 300 kilometres.

Poland's justice minister: it's not about judiciary anymore; Poland's being played politically

"It’s not about dispute over judiciary anymore, but about drawing out the decision until the European elections, in order to play Poland politically," said Poland’s Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro regarding Tuesday’s proceedings in the Court of Justice of the European Union (ECJ). The Advocate General of the ECJ is expected to issue an opinion regarding the case on the 11th of April.
