The negotiations lasted until the early hours and, as planned, the contract was signed in front of live TV cameras in the presence of Minister Antoni Macierewicz. A great success was announced. Without a doubt, this is a historic moment as, for the very first time, the Polish soldier will be equipped with an all Polish assault rifle that is really good. The problem is that this success is based on trust, as the final tests are still in progress. In addition, the contract bypasses the traditional Army procurement procedures.

Location for the new super airport has been named

The Government has accepted the concept of the Central Communication Port - PM Beata Szydło announced this Tuesday. The Agent for the Central Communication Port, Mr. Mikołaj Wild, said that the new port will be based in Stanisławów located in the municipality of Baranów.

“We came here to honour courage – simple, plain, pure courage,” the deputy speaker of the Knesset, Yehiel Hilik Bar said on Monday in Warsaw. During the official ceremony at the Warsaw zoo, Antonina and Jan Żabiński awards were bestowed on Poles who saved Jews during World War II. This time, the recipients were the Franciscan nuns from the Convent of St. Mary, Natalia Jakoniuk with her family and – posthumously – members of the Kawczyński family.

Polish legal experts say Poland can demand German reparations

Polish parliamentary legal experts ruled on Monday that Warsaw has the right to demand reparations from Germany for its actions in the country during World War Two, although Poland's foreign minister indicated that no immediate claim would be made.
