It's the beginning of the trial and there's a very long list of accusations. According to investigators, Krystian W. took advantage of teenage girls and committed 65 crimes, most of them rape and attempted rape. There are over 30 victims, several of them aren't even 15 years old. They're just children.

16 million zlotys in "mayor Adamowicz's last collection can"

"Liberal ideals were close to Paweł Adamowicz's heart. He was a humanist and supported the LGBT community. He turned Gdańsk into an open city and that's something we indentify with, he chose a path we would like to follow here in Prague", mayor of Prague Zdeněk Hřib said in conversation with TVN24, referring to plans of naming one of the streets in Prague after Paweł Adamowicz.

Most of Polish "escape rooms" failed security inspections

"Escape rooms" are on the radar of the General Building Inspectorate. 418 of "escape room" buildings were inspected and only 83 of them adhered to regulations. The inspections are taking place throughout the entire country. This is after the tragedy in Koszalin that left 5 teenagers dead, in the beginning of January. An "escape room" there caught fire while the girls were trapped inside.

Jerzy Owsiak announced his return as head of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity

The conductor of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is thanking Poles for all the support. Jurek Owsiak has announced that he is coming back as president of the foundation. He made the announcement on the social media over the weekend and confirmed his return at a press conference on Monday. Millions of Poles took to the internet to show their support for Owsiak and they also donated money online, in the name of Mayor Adamowicz. This alone has amassed more than 3 million zlotys.

The mother of mayor Adamowicz's killer asks his family for forgiveness

The mother of Stefan W. who murdered Paweł Adamowicz has words for the mayor's family. "I am very sorry for what my son has done and I ask for forgiveness, although I know I'm asking a lot," she said in an interview with "Gazeta Wyborcza". After the murder of the mayor of Gdańsk an inquiry has been launched, focused on the Gdańsk police department and the security agency that provided security of the charity event is supposed to lose its license.

Polish mountain village needs help to be dug out of heavy snow

The southern Polish village of Laliki in the Beskidy mountains had to call in heavy machinery on Monday to dig itself out of deep snow that fell during last week. Local officials described roads as looking like bobsleigh tracks and that because of the chilly air the snowy had hardened, resembling "frozen concrete". One resident said locals were waiting to be dug out or were trying to dig their way through the white stuff with shovels. The entrance to her house had been entirely blocked by snow, she said. Polish broadcaster TVN said access to the village and the surrounding area was only possible with a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Psychological support for residents of Gdańsk after the tragic death of mayor Adamowicz

Residents of Gdańsk may need help from psychologogists due to the tragic attack and murder of the city's mayor Paweł Adamowicz. Since the attack took place on stage in front of hundreds of spectators, the city says any resident who was unable to cope with the tragic events can count on psychological assistance. The deputy mayor also met with the mother of the perpetrator and says that this was also a tragedy for the family of Stefan W. That's why he wants them to be included in prayers because that's what mayor Adamowicz would have wanted.
