Bialowieza. The final verdict

This battle is over. The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has issued it’s final verdict regarding the logging in the Bialowieza forest. It states that Poland broke European law. Environment minister Jan Szyszko has said that Poland will comply with the verdict and there will be no more logging in this ecologically important World Heritage site and home to the rare European bison.

Neo-Nazi leader's case back in court

The Internet is a public space and indecent content can't be freely published there - ruled the Polish Supreme Court in the case involving the leader of neo-Nazi group called "Duma i Nowoczesność" (Pride and Modernity). Last year lower court decided that it wouldn't prosecute him because his vulgar and aggressive comments concerning minorities had been published only online. Now it will have to review the case.

The image problem

Zybertowicz: Senate Speaker Karczewski is teasing the President over the constitutional referendum

"Since we are talking about a consultation referendum, perhaps it's going to contain a number of questions regarding other issues than the constitution itself", said the advisor to President Andrzej Duda, professor Andrzej Zybertowicz in "Fakty po Faktach". President Andrzej Duda has proposed that the consultation referendum should be held on 11 November 2018, to mark the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty. In the first part of the programme, the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Stanisław Tyszka and the former health minister Bartosz Arłukowicz commented on ECJ ruling regarding the Białowieża Forest.
