Ambulance with transplant patient got stuck in traffic for half an hour

An ambulance with a patient going for a transplant got stuck in traffic and precious time was wasted. All of this because of the metal barriers erected for road work that made it impossible to pass cars. The ambulance managed to make to the hospital a half an hour late. Fortunately, they were able to avert a tragedy. Nevertheless, paramedics from that ambulance warn that such narrow roads can create a deadly trap.

Sunny and warm weather caused drought and fires throughout Poland

The sunny and warm weather that we've been enjoing for the last few days, unfortunately, has its darker side. When there's a lack of rain, the possibility of forest fires drastically increases. Add to that the fact that farmers are also complaining about drought in their fields. On Wednesday (24 April) there were 265 forest fires and more than 500 grass and brush fires.

Polish Teachers' Union recommends a new form of protest

The head of the Polish Teachers' Union (ZNP) Sławomir Broniarz recommends teachers to restrict their work activities only to didactic duties. "All that is included in the teaching quota, we shall carry out. We recommend, however, that teachers should radically limit their activity in all the other fields," he told TVN24 reporter.

Life in prison for the murder of 20-year-old woman in Łódź

The court has decided. The man guilty of murdering a young woman and hiding her body in a sofa will spend the rest of his life behind bars. During the investigation, 31-year-old Artur W. admitted that he had killed 20-year-old Kaja, two years ago. However, the reaction of the police is as shocking as the crime itself. It took nine days and three visits to the killer's apartment for them to discover the body.
