"Sport Bild": Lewandowski disappointed with coach Flick's departure
German "Sport Bild" reports in the latest issue that Robert Lewandowski is unhappy with Bayern Munich's transfer policy and coach Hansi Flick's departure. It's still unlikely, however, that the Pole will decide to leave the club this summer.
Lack of quality signings is said to be Lewandowski's main concern. After winning the 2020 Champions League final, the prolific striker expected that new players would bring even more quality to the Bavarian side. Meanwhile, most of the players signed by sports director Hasan Salihamidzic play secondary roles at best.
According to the magazine, one of the things "Lewy" was surprised with was that Bayern did not keep Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisić, "who had played an important part in the Champions League triumph".
That's not all. Poland's skipper is also said to be disappointed with coach Hansi Flick's departure, as he would like to continue working with the German. It's been recently announced that RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann will take over as Bayern's manager.
However, despite the aforementioned concerns, the Pole is not really interested in a move to PSG, about which German media have been recently writing. Although "Sport Bild" says his agent Pini Zahavi is "agitating towards that direction", any spectacular decisions are rather unlikely.
It also cannot be ruled out that it is Zahavi's way to negotiate a better contract for the striker. The current expires in June 2023.
At the moment Robert Lewandowski is "observing the situation of the club" and focuses on breaking gerd Mueller's goalscoring record on Saturday against Augsburg.
