The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy's actions are aimed at strenghtening families and to protect them. The draft amendment to the bill on family violence prevention has been published too soon in the Public Information Bulletin, the ministry said on Wednesday.
"Each person whose rights or personal rights have been infringed as a result of domestic violence should be classified as its victim. Regardless if it was due a single incident or a persistent repetitive chain of such actions. Only the above-mentioned interpretation should be included in the proposed regulations," the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy underscored in a communique.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki decided on Wednesday to send the act on domestic violence back to the lawmakers so that all of the questionable provisions are corrected or removed. He stressed that each act of domestic violence, "single ones" and those recurring, should be dealt with equally firmly and swiftly.
The project was published at the Government Legislation Centre website on the 31st December, 2018. After PM Morawiecki's Tweet, it was removed from the site around noon on Wednesday.
