Over 19 million people in Poland have been fully vaccinated with Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson shots, according to data published at government websites. The Health Ministry informed on Monday about 269 new infection cases, while no COVID-related deaths were recorded.
The overall number of administered doses of COVID-19 vaccines Poland stands at 36,749,445. The number of fully vaccinated people is at 19,106,619 - either with two shots of Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna or AstraZeneca, or with a single shot of Johnson & Johnson product.
In total, 53,910,230 doses have been delivered to Poland so far, of which 38,488,580 made their way to vaccination points.
Since December 27, 2020, when Poland launched its COVID-19 vaccination programme, 391,290 doses have been disposed of.
In that time, 15,115 undesirable vaccine effects, mostly mild, have been recorded.
The Ministry of Health informed on Monday about 269 new coronavirus infection cases. No COVID-related deaths were reported.
Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kraska told Polish Radio on Monday that compared to the previous Monday, September 6, there was a 47-percent spike in infections.
Since the start of the pandemic in Poland, 2,893,919 infection cases and 75,425 deaths have been recorded.
