"I wish you a sweet and happy New Year!"
Rosh Hashanah, which means "the head of the year" in Hebrew, is one of Judaism's holiest days. The two-day celebration marks the start of the Jewish New Year and is filled with traditions, like eating a round challah and saying prayers near a body of water.
This year in 2023, Rosh Hashanah begins at sunset on Friday (Sept. 15), and ends at sunset on Sunday (Sept. 17).
