Poland's Government Security Centre (RCB) has published a guide entitled "Be prepared!", which provides a handful of useful tips on how to act in case of crisis or war and how to prepare for such situations.
The RCB guide is divided into two main parts. The first one is about preparation and gathering information on a potential crisis. We can learn about warning alerts are and how they sound, as well as how we should act when hearing them.
The guide also tells readers where to seek for shelter when in danger, what sort of food they should store, what should they fill the evacuation backpack with, and what they should do in case of evacuation. We will also find a handful of advice on how to prepare for power outages or water interruption.
The second part of the guide is about immediate danger situations. The authors explain what we should do when we hear explosions or sounds of gunfire, as well as what how we should act when being attacked with various kinds of weapons. Readers can also find tips on how to administer first aid.
The RCB has also prepared an instructional video, in which experts explain and demonstrate how what do in the situation of crisis or war.
