Four protesters detained on Friday in front of the parliament face charges of breaching the inviolability of police officers. They could end up in prison for up to five years.
They were protesting against the new changes to the bills on the judiciary that were passed by the lower house of the parliament and now the Senate will decide to push it further.
The government claims the new law will make courts more effective and fair. The opposition warns that it may mark the end of rule of in Poland.
The debate is heated. Some protesters were even smuggled onto the Sejm grounds by one of the MPs, in a trunk of a car.
Guests of "Fakty po Faktach" in TVN24 were discussing the situation after the passing of new judiciary laws by the Sejm.
"Law and Justice is breaking all rules possible. It respects no one. Not even itself," said Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus from Liberal-Social Parliamentary Club.
"I tried to talk to those representatives, for them to be brave and at least once by patriots. For me this is the end of the democratic country. We now have a "democratorship", she added.
Scheuring-Wielgus also said: "I don't know what will happen during voting in the Senate. If the Senate passes the new law and then Andrzej Duda ratifies it, then we will have a dictatorship in Poland. I'm fully aware of that".
The other guest of "Fakty po Faktach", Agnieszka Ścigaj from Kukiz '15 movement said: "I also don't accept what's happening. How the constitution is being broken".
Ms Ścigaj also replied Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus: "You are no different than Law and Justice. I would never have expected smuggling someone in a trunk of a car".
