Presidential election on Sunday. Latest poll for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24
In the latest poll by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24, 40 percent of those asked declared they would vote for Andrzej Duda in the first round of presidential election this coming Sunday (June 28), whereas 27 percent would support his top rival Rafał Trzaskowski.
Respondents were asked who they would vote for in the first round of presidential election that are set to take place on Sunday, June 28.
Current president Andrzej Duda would secure 40 percent of votes, which is exactly the figure as in the previous poll by Kantar for "Fakty" TVN and TVN24 published on June 18. Civic Coalition candidate, mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski would take the second place with 27 percent, which is 5 percentage points less than in the last week's survey.
Independent candidate Szymon Hołownia would get the third result with 13 percent (3 percentage points less than on June 18).
Krzysztof Bosak (Confederation) would receive 7 percent of votes (same as on June 18), Robert Biedroń (the Left) - 3 percent (1 percentage point more), and Polish People's Party candidate Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz - 2 percent (1 percentage point less).
The remaining 5 candidates received 0 percent. The answer "don't know/hard to say/haven't decided yet" was picked by 8 percent. Kantar estimates the turnout at 58 percent.
Run-off on July 12
In the poll, the respondent were also asked who they would vote for in the second round of the election on July 12, if the choice was between Andrzej Duda and Rafał Trzaskowski. 47 percent of those asked said they would support the incumbent president Andrzej Duda (1 percentage point less compared to June 18 poll). 45 percent would choose the mayor of Warsaw (3 percentage points less).
Eight percent (8%) picked the "don't know/hard to say/haven't decided yet" answer.
The phone survey was conducted by Kantar pollster on June 24-25 on a nationwide, representative sample of 1500 adults.
2020 presidential election
Voters will choose between 11 candidate in the first round on June 28: Robert Biedroń, Krzysztof Bosak, Andrzej Duda, Szymon Hołownia, Marek Jakubiak, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Mirosław Piotrowski, Paweł Tanajno, Rafała Trzaskowski, Waldemar Witkowski or Stanisław Żółtek.
Should a run-off between the top two candidates be needed, it will take place on July 12.
